Routes into Rail’s promotional video, ‘What I Have Always Wanted’, has been included in the final shortlist of the 21st CineRail Festival.  It will be competing in the ‘corporate films’ category at the awards night on Thursday 17 December 2015 at the UIC in Paris.

The CineRail judging committee received over 400 submissions across various categories including documentaries, corporate films and fiction.  A total of 60 films were shortlisted, with the finalists representing 22 countries.

Routes into Rail is a cross-industry group founded in February 2014, by RSSB and the Rail Research UK Association (RRUKA), amongst others.

The video ‘Routes into Rail: What I have always wanted’ was produced as a GB rail cross-industry initiative and delivered through the Routes into Rail group. It aims to encourage talented young people to choose a career in the rail industry, and minimise the skills shortage the sector is currently experiencing.  By showcasing the varied career options that rail offers, ’What I have always wanted’ portrays rail as an exciting sector that promotes cutting-edge technology and innovation.  The video was officially launched in October 2014.

The video has received great feedback from industry; it’s been shown at various industry events and is currently being used as part of the Routes into Rail’s University Presentations Programme. <br\>
