RRUKA is pleased to present the results of four academic-led feasibility studies, which shared a £250,000 competition prize to apply Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) to the maintenance of rolling stock. These projects explored blue-sky ideas for maintenance, servicing and inspection, with a focus on key industry challenges such as: reducing maintenance time to improve capacity; reducing whole-life costs; and improving safety by enhancing the reliability of rolling stock inspections.
