Title:
MSc Transport Strategy and Systems
Brief Description
This MSc is for professionals who aspire to manage complex work in transport. It offers both a comprehensive global context and specialised knowledge.
The focus on integrating technology, sustainability and management approaches reflects the multi-disciplinary challenges graduates will meet in the workplace, especially in consulting.
Where possible, the course encourages you to link your study to work contexts.
It is therefore offered for either full-time or part-time study.
There are eight core modules in the programme:
- Principles of sustainable transport
- Transport strategy and policy
- Systems and decisions
- Management & leadership
- Transport energy and emissions
- Programme and asset management
- Resilience and security
- Contracts and arbitration
Modules comprise three consecutive days, combining lectures, case studies and group work. Assessment is through coursework and/or examinations.
Applicants should hold a good honours degree in a subject with some mathematical content, plus transport experience, or relevant work experience and professional qualifications in the transport field.
